Stranded Sperm Whale in Wakatobi
Officials inspect a sperm whale with plastic in its belly in a national park in Wakatobi, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. A 9.5-metre (31.17 ft) sperm whale that is found dead had nearly six kilograms (13.2 lbs) of plastic waste, including 115 cups, in its stomach, park officials said. The park is famous among divers for its large area of reefs and diverse marine life including rays and whales.
