The Rainbow Warrior in Goa
The Rainbow Warrior entered Indian shores off the Sinquerim coast in Goa. Around 25 Goan groups fighting environmental destruction presented their work in brief to the crew, Greenpeace India staff and other guests, activists and conservationists from Goa.
The vessel then set sail to dock in Mumbai where it hosted workshops on solar energy, organic farming, composting and an organic lunch for guests and local activists. The arrival of the ship is symbolic of the need for India to lead the global fight against climate change and global warming, as pledged and committed to in the recently ratified Paris Agreement.
