Chemie Aktion bei Crown Resources in Zug

Aus Protest gegen den heutigen Entscheid, dem Anbau von Gentech-Weizen an der ETH-Forschungsanstalt in Lindau/ZH grünes Licht zu erteilen, sind Greenpeace-AktivistInnen der Hochschule aufs Dach gestiegen. Ein riesiges Banner «Kein ETH-Gentech-Weizen in Lindau» prangt von der Kuppel des ETH-Hauptgebäudes in Zürich. Die Zwängerei der Gentech-Forscher wird nun belohnt: Das UVEK hatte den ursprünglich ablehnenden BUWAL-Entscheid gekippt und das Umweltamt zur heutigen Bewilligung gezwungen. Dass der Schutz von Umwelt, Gesundheit und ökologischer Landwirtschaft zu Gunsten eines fragwürdigen und überflüssigen Experiments aufs Spiel gesetzt wird, ist nicht akzeptabel. AnwohnerInnen von Lindau und Greenpeace rekurrieren nun deshalb gegen den BUWAL-Entscheid.

Toxics Action at Crown Resources in Zug

Activists bring back oil from the Prestige oil spill to Crown Resources headquarters. The single hulled oil tanker 'Prestige' was chartered by Crown Resources when the oil catastrophe happened for the Galician coast earlier this month.
Crown Resources is not taking any responsibility for the accident, so Greenpeace organized this "return to sender" action to bring the oil back to its owner.
