In November/December 2002 the Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise is transporting seven barrels, containing hazardous waste from Bhopal to Europe. This is to protest against Dow Chemicals, the company responsible for world's worst pesticide disaster in Bhopal, India in 1984. The seven barrels, only a tiny part of the hundreds of tons that have been strewn around the derelict Union Carbide pesticide plant, will later be dumped at the largest European operation of Dow Chemicals, Dow Benelux in the southern Dutch town of Terneuzen.Locations:Asia-Bhopal-IndiaDate:1 Dec, 2002Credit:© Greenpeace / Rodrigo BaléiaMaximum size:2272px X 1704pxKeywords:Actions and protests-Gas masks-Greenpeace activists-Greenpeace logo-KWCI (GPI)-MY Arctic Sunrise-Protective clothing-Toxic waste-Toxics (campaign title)-Two peopleShoot:Bhopal Tour Onboard Arctic Sunrise in IndiaThe Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise is transporting seven barrels, containing hazardous waste from Bhopal to Europe.
