Toxics Action at Hewlett Packard Palo Alto

Greenpeace activists protest outside Hewlett Packard headquarters in Palo Alto.  Greenpeace exposed electronics giant Hewlett Packard for backtracking on its public commitment to eliminate key toxic chemicals in its products by the end of 2009. Some of the Greenpeace activists climbed to the top of Hewlett Packard global headquarters and painted the message “Hazardous Products” in big, bold letters on the roof. The message, applied using non-toxic finger-paint, covered more than 11,500 square feet (1,068 square metres).
