President Donald Trump announces his intention to have the U.S. withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement during a White House Rose Garden press conference. Greenpeace condemned Trump’s attempt to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement, but affirmed the global community would continue to move forward on climate action. Greenpeace USA Executive Director Annie Leonard said: “This is disgraceful. By withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement, the Trump administration has turned America from a global climate leader into a global climate deadbeat."
