Village Home with Family, Himalayas
Greenpeace visit a local, village home in Pu Mai where they are welcomed by a family who prepare the traditional Tibetan feast of Yak meat. The Pu Mai village depends on the water source from the Rongbuk Glacier Mount Everest (Qomolangma). These Glaciers are one of the prime sources of water feeding into the major rivers of China and India and are receding faster than in any other part of the world as a result of global warming. These villagers are feeling the effects drier conditions and water shortage.
