Greenpeace activists protest in front of the Federal Chancellery in Vienna for higher taxation of profits made by energy companies due to the enormous price increase of oil and gas. The enormous price increases are fueled by the Russian war against Ukraine. Instead of lowering the value added tax (VAT) with the watering can, these profit taxes should benefit those who suffer the most from the rising prices in a socially just way.
