Wings of Emergency Project in the Amazon in Brazil
With the Wings of Emergency (Asas da Emergência, in Portuguese) project, Greenpeace Brazil is providing emergency help to indigenous people to reduce the impact of the coronavirus (Covid-19). The environmental organization is sending health professionals and equipment to areas where logistics are permanent challenges for the healthcare system.On May 19th and 20th, the Wings of Emergency Project brought to Tabatinga, in the Amazonas state, basic health (surgical gloves and masks, besides cloth masks) and hygiene (soap and hand sanitizer) supplies, donated by Greenpeace. These products were distributed to indigenous peoples by the Alto Solimões Indigenous Health Special District (Distrito Especial de Saúde Indígena - Dsei, in Portuguese), aiming to halt Covid-19 spreading and impacting the indigenous peoples.

Projeto Asas da Emergência na Amazônia
Através do projeto Asas da Emergência, o Greenpeace está viabilizando ajuda emergencial para povos indígenas com o propósito de diminuir os impactos da contaminação do coronavírus. A organização ambientalista está transportando profissionais e equipamentos de saúde para territórios em que a logística é um desafio permanente para o atendimento de saúde.
Nos dias 19 e 20 de maio, o projeto Asas da Emergência transportou materiais básicos de saúde (luvas e máscaras cirúrgicas, além de máscaras de tecido) e de higiene (sabão e álcool gel), doados pelo Greenpeace, para a cidade de Tabatinga, no estado do Amazonas. Os produtos foram distribuídos para povos indígenas da região pelo Distrito Especial de Saúde Indígena (Dsei) Alto Solimões, com o propósito de diminuir o avanço e os impactos da contaminação da Covid-19 entre estas populações.
