Wood Stove Construction Training in Kinshasa
Between the 8th and 20th October, 42 volunteers learn all the techniques to construct and use efficient wood stoves made of clay. The clay comes from the N’djili river, 26 km from the city center. The volunteers come mainly from two semi-rural areas of the city Kinshasa. The efficient wood stoves are made of clay, straw and cow dung. All ingredients are sustainable and have a positive effect on the development of the site. The workshop is organized by Greenpeace Africa and the Youth Support Center of Greenpeace Switzerland.

Kinshasa, le 8. – 20. octobre 2012: Entre le 8 et le 20 octobre, 42 volontaires ont été formés sur la construction et l’utilisation des foyers techniques à haute efficacité. Venus essentiellement de deux quartiers semi-ruraux de la ville de Kinshasa, ces volontaires sont capables de reproduire les connaissances pratiques apprises sur les foyers techniques à haute efficacité, de la construction jusqu’à leur utilisation et profiteront des avantages en termes de l’économie de bois. © Greenpeace / Ouro Souakatou
