Banner Protest at Meat Factory Tönnies, Germany - NEWS ACCESS
Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Northrine-Westfalia, July 16, 2020: Greenpeace activists demonstrate for a fundamental change in the meat industry at the meat factory of industry leader Tönnies in Rheda-Wiedenbrück. The slaughterhouse has started up again on this day after having been closed on June 21 due to mass corona infections amongst the staff. The activists have landed on the roof of the factory's main building with motorized paragliders demanding to end this filthy business on a banner next to the company logo. Statement: Dirk Zimmermann, Expert on Agriculture at Greenpeace Germany (in German)
