Planet Earth First Banners at G20 Foreign Ministers Meeting in Germany 2017 - Clipreel
Bonn, Germany, Feb 16, 2017: During US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson's first visit to Europe, Greenpeace activists call for united climate leadership at G20 meeting. On the river Rhine close to the meeting place of the conference, Greenpeace activists challenge the Trump Administration’s America First policy, unveiling a banner between the masts of the Greenpeace ship Beluga II that says: ‘Planet Earth First’. Around forty activists try to reach the waterfront with inflatables to submit a petition to Germany's foreign minister Sigmar Gabriel, host of the summit. The petition calls for increased international cooperation to protect the climate.
