Plastic Pollution Investigation with Ambassador’s Ship in Japan
Water samples collected during an activity carried out by Greenpeace Japan with its Ambassador Takemoto Masahiro on his sailing boat. As part of the event, Greenpeace staff and Mr. Takemoto collect water samples from Tokyo bay and observe them using a microscope. Several microplastic type substances are found in the water samples. As a professional diver and environmentalist, Mr. Takemoto and Greenpeace Japan will continue working together to strengthen Greenpeace's campaign.

グリーンピース・ジャパンアンバサダーの武本匡弘さんと船イベントを開催
神奈川県逗子市で行った海洋プラスチック観察イベントで、グリーンピース・ジャパンのアンバサダーに就任した武本匡弘さんと、東京湾の海水を採取し、顕微鏡で海洋プラスチックの有無を観察した。いくつかのマイクロプラスチックらしきものが確認されたほか、ヨット上から武本さんのインタビューをライブ配信。船上では「No More Plastics In the Oceans」と書かれたバナー撮影も行った。プロダイバーで環境活動家でもある武本さんには、今後アンバサダーとしてグリーンピースの活動を広く発信してもらう。
