Schlatenkees Glacier Revisited
First time the glacier was documented in 2019, as a part of the 'Climate impact tour' in Austria. Schlatenkees glacier is part of what used to be the largest glacial area in Austria, Venediger kees-es. In just three years 2019-2022 the Schlatenkees retracted drastically, between 60-100m. The glacial lake is clearly formed and therefore the glacier tongue is believed to be dead / broken.

Climate Impact in Austria - Glacier Retraction Revisited 2022 (Photos & Videos)
Greenpeace Austria revisited the glacier which was documented in 2019 as a part of Climate Impact Tour throughout Austria.
Within only 3 years, Schlatenkees glacier in Tyrol, lost approximately 60-100m. Which is unprecedented event. Whereas in 2019 the glacial tongue was still intact, in 2022 it is gone, broken. Instead of glacial tongue, formation of lake is well seen already. Glacial lake is the last stage of the glacial tongue.
