RE100 Race Competition in Seoul of Major ICT Companies in East Asia
Greenpeace Seoul activists participate in a RE100 (100% Renewable Energy) virtual race competition at Hyochang Stadium in Seoul. Greenpeace East Asia's Regional ICT Team surveyed 30 major ICT (Information and communications technology) companies in China, Japan, and Korea to see how well they responded to the climate crisis and set goals for the transition to renewable energy. As a result, not a single company achieved a higher score than C+.
Greenpeace urges significant ICT companies in the three East Asian countries to set a goal of 100% renewable energy use by 2030, including supply chains.
