NGOs and members of the public stand in solidarity with the Indigenous Peoples in Brazil in a peaceful demonstration outside the Brazilian Embassy in London. The protest which is organised by Brazil Matters, CAFOD, Greenpeace UK, and Survival International coincides with the start of the Indigenous Land camp in the Brazilian Capital. Indigenous people from all over Brazil are gathering there to protest against the Bolsonaro government’s attempt to bring forward laws making it easier to exploit indigenous lands in the name of mining, agriculture and ‘development’.
