Greenpeace Youth Lay Ground Picture at Garzweiler Open-Cast Mine
On the second Day of Action, JAG's (Greenpeace Youth Group) of the Vote4me campaign create two ground paintings on the road between Keyenberg and Lützerath. "Protect Climate Save Future" and "Your Vote My Future"
Together with a broad alliance of environmental and civil society organisations, Greenpeace calls for a day of action in the Rhenish mining area. Environmental activists from Greenpeace BUND, Campact, Alle Doerfer bleiben, Klimaallianz, Naturfreunde and Greenpeace
form a 4 km-long human chain between Keyenberg and Luetzerath near the Garzweiler opencast mine. The activists demand: "Save the climate, Stop coal". The demonstrators also claim the preservation of the villages threatened by opencast mining. Before the federal election the call goes to those politically responsible: "The coal must stay in the ground. We mark the 1.5 degree limit".
