Greenpeace Examines Soil and Water in German Flood Areas - News Access Part 1
Greenpeace's campaigners Viola Wohlgemuth and Dirk Zimmermann take samples at a makeshift waste collection site in Erfstadt. The team collects and analyses water and soil samples in the area around Blessem for a second day. Blessem is a district of Erftstadt that was heavily damaged in the recent flooding. Greenpeace is active with a mobile laboratory container in the North Rhine-Westphalian disaster area. The samples are prepared on site and then handed over to certified laboratories for further analysis. Areas of interest are children's playgrounds and sports fields, private gardens, fields and temporary waste disposal sites.
