Hurricane Ida Aftermation In Louisiana
Oil sheen in the bayou between Barataria and Lafaitte in Louisiana. Hurricane Ida was a deadly and destructive Category 4 Atlantic hurricane that became the second-most damaging and intense hurricane to strike the U.S. state of Louisiana on record, behind Hurricane Katrina. After the storm had passed, nearly all of the oil production along the Gulf Coast was shut down.
