Defending Our Oceans Tour in the Azores
A group of Risso's dolphins passing by the Esperanza, south of Pico Island, Azores. Risso's dolphins, also known as Grampus, are one of the larger members of the dolphin family. They often carry distinctive scars and tooth marks from confrontations with other Risso's, and also squid. They vary in colour, but tend to get whiter as they get older. Greenpeace is in the Azores with a team of scientists to survey and document deep sea life.
