A scoop is used to haul tons of tuna onto the deck of the purse seine fishing boat 'Purple Lilac 888', owned by Frabelle Fishing Corporation of the Philippines. Frabelle has committed to shifting part of their operations to the more sustainable 'free school', or 'FAD-free' fishing. Greenpeace is in the Western and Central Pacific ocean on the 'Defending Our Pacific' expedition to campaign for the establishment of a network of marine reserves and an end to overfishing.
