Greenpeace protests in front of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) embassy in Berne against seizing a hot-air balloon by the GDR. Further protests take place in other countries.

On 28 August 1983 the hot-air balloon " Trinity" flies from West Berlin to GDR. The overflight is a protest against the nuclear weapon tests of USA, Great Britain, Russia and France and is to clarify the transnational impendence of atomic weapons.
