Greenpeace is protesting against the destruction of ancient rainforests with a Tauari log from the Amazon in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin. The tree was converted into an artwork with a video installation by the Brazilian artist Siron Franco. The banner reads in German: "Urwaldschutz ist Klimaschutz" (Forest protection is Climate protection). Greenpeace is demanding two billion Euro for the protection of the last ancient rainforests. 

Greenpeace stellt vor dem Brandenburger Tor einen brasilianischen Tauaribaum aus, der vom Aussterben bedroht ist und im Regenwald illegal brandgerodet wurde. Der Torso wurde bearbeitet vom brasilianischen Kuenstler Siron Franco. Im Baum sind Videoinstallationen eingebaut. Ein Banner fordert Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel auf, 2 Milliarden Euro in Schutz des Urwaldes zu stecken. Banner: "Urwaldschutz ist Klimaschutz".
