Tatsuko Okawara Performs a Puppet Show in Miharu Town
Tatsuko Okawara (59), an organic farmer performs a puppet show at her organic and fair trade shop. Tatsuko and her husband Shin organize a puppet theater group called "Red Tomato." They perform at schools and public spaces. One performance is called: "Taro and Hanako's Story." The story is about a couple affected by a nuclear disaster. She created the tale based on one friend's true experience so that their story is not forgotten. She opened her shop named "Esperi" (meaning 'hope' in Esperanto) in 2013 and sells mainly organic vegetables, rice and other food produced by local farmers.
