Asian Clean Energy Revolution Tour in Thailand

Greenpeace activists party with the people of Bo Nok community, home of assassinated anti-coal activist Charoen Wataksorn and release paper lanterns to commemorate his successful fight against coal power plants in Thailand. The celebration also bids farewell to the Asia Clean Energy Revolution Tour 2005 of Greenpeace flagship Rainbow Warrior, at Wat See Yak Bo Nok Buddhist temple. Greenpeace and over 20 community organisations representing thousands of people from Australia, the Philippines and Thailand today launched a People's Declaration Against Coal in Prachuap Khiri Khan and called on industry, government and international financial institutions to invest in clean renewable energy.
