Polar Pioneer in Port Angeles
A lone seagull hangs out in a park in Port Angeles after the Polar Pioneer, a 400-foot-tall rig owned by Transocean and leased by Royal Dutch Shell, arrived on the Blue Marlin cargo lift ship in Port Angeles, Washington. The rig, coming from Asia, will be staged in Seattle before heading to the Arctic waters off Alaska if Shell has its way.
