Protest at Kinder Morgan's Pipeline Terminal in Canada
Amy George (Ta'ah), an elder with the Tsleil-Waututh First Nation joined Greenpeace activists chained to the front gate at Kinder Morgan's pipeline terminus in Metro Vancouver, where tankers are loaded with tar sands oil. The activists are protesting the Harper government's plan to build new pipelines to ship tar sands bitumen from Alberta overseas. If the expansion of Kinder Morgan's pipeline goes ahead, 700% more tankers will go through the Port of Vancouver.
