Damaged Interior of Arctic Sunrise in Amsterdam
A wrecked door inside the Arctic Sunrise. In different parts of the ship water leaks in pipes occur because they had been frozen while the ship was held in Murmansk, Russia. The ship was used as a support vessel during a protest at Gazprom's Prirazlomnaya platform on September 18th 2013. The Greenpeace ship was detained in the Russian port city Murmansk for over 300 days. The ship has been moved to a shipyard in Amsterdam for much needed repairs.
