Edumbele David Visits an Unfinished School Building in the DRC
First village elder Edumbele David, visits Bokweli village school, 20km of Lisala. Where the Sicobois logging company promised a school in exchange for logging works in the area. The school however, has been left unfinished. Plundered forests, physical intimidation and unfulfilled promises is the legacy of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s broken industrial logging model according to new findings from Greenpeace, after the environmental organisation visited the communities affected by the operations of logging companies.
