Beluga Tour Against Nuclear Power Plants in Europe
The Greenpeace ship Beluga II passes in front of the French nuclear power plant at Fessenheim. A banner flies between the two masts, displaying the message ‘Stop risking Europe!’ Activists on board the vessel are calling for the closure of Fessenheim, the oldest plant in France and one of the 20 oldest in Europe, and other out of age nuclear power plants across the continent. This event marked the start of a two month tour by the ship along the Rhine and Moselle rivers.
