Workers deploy boom around the site of the oil spill in the Houston Ship Channel near the Texas City Dike. More than 71,000 feet of boom has been deployed in response to the oil spill that occurred after a bulk carrier called Summer Wind and a barge called Miss Susan owned by Kirby Inland Marine collided in the Houston Ship Channel. Oil spill was 168,000 gallons.
