Solar Powered Screening of World Cup Game in Croatia
Sand bags that were used to protect Drenovci school litter the playground.
Greenpeace activists are in Croatia to prepare a screening of a football game between Croatia and Brazil, the first game of World Cup. The screening will be powered entirely by solar power. The solar panels are installed onto a local school in Drenovci, a village severely affected by recent floods. Greenpeace demands that the reconstruction of the region is done with an energy efficient way. More than 90 percent of Croatian people think the country should use more renewable energy.
