Robert Holler - Indigenous Delegate - Vancouver
Robert Holler (German / Anishinabe) is a graduate from the Native Education College known as Idle No More College. After serving as Chief of the Student Counsel during the height of Idle No More, Robert began attending rallies to oppose tar sands development that is destroying communities and wildlife in Northern Alberta. Currently Robert serves as fire keeper at the Tsleil Watuth Nation sweat lodge and through the Tsleil Watuth Nation he is very involved in a major movement to stop the Northern Gateway pipeline from moving through Squamish territory. Two years ago, Robert went to the tar sands and raised a Totem Pole at Beaver Lake Alberta, part of the Cree Nation’s territory and saw first-hand the destruction and hardship that the tar sands are causing.
