Activists holding banner in ancient forest area under threat from Finnish state owned forestry company, Metsahallitus. In the North of Finland at the municipality of Puolanka in the Kainuu-region Greenpeace volunteer activists from Finland, Sweden, Holland, Belgium, Germany and France demonstrate against the felling of trees in an ancient forest area. The area is one of the most valuable small-scale waterways. This region is still a place of major concern as new logging plans are underway.
