Toxics Action Pittsburgh Paint and Glass in Louisiana
Members of the Lake Charles Police Department attempt to pry open a panel on the Greenpeace bus outside Pittsburgh Paint and Glass (PPG) in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Greenpeace locked the bus to railroad tracks leading into a PPG plant entrance to block shipments of vinyl chloride. Greenpeace believes that PPG has operated three toxic waste incinerators on illegal interim status for 16 years and is responsible for hundreds of industrial accidents. The signs on the bus say "Toxics Patrol" and "Poisoning People Globally".
