Toxics Action and Solar Energy Campaign in Thailand
A Greenpeace action in Thailand helped local villagers of the Prachuab Khirikhan province to build solar panels. They also labeled and denounced a site in the area as a toxic site where a Japanese incinerator is located. In addition, Greenpeace directors from all over the world joined the communities of Ban Krut and Acham Sulak Siwalak to support their movement against the construction of coal-fired power plants in the area. In the image, Greenpeace activists dressed with death masks on placing placards and banners against charcoal incinerators. Placards read: "Made in Japan" and "Another cancer factory".
