Informing Local People in Hungary
Greenpeace activists in protective clothing and masks inform the residents of Kolontár about the toxicity of the sludge. The evacuated part of Kolontár is now open for citizens to move back to their homes, but the cleaning process still not finished. The toxic sludge flood occurred on the 4th October and it was caused by the rupture of a red sludge reservoir at an alumina plant.
