Die-In against Nuclear Increase in Hong Kong
Greenpeace activists stage a sudden death 'die-in' on the streets of Mong Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong, calling for the public to put pressure on the Hong Kong Government to cancel its plans to increase the city's supply of electricity from nuclear sources by 2020, primarily because of the threat of potential nuclear accidents such as the one at the Russian Chernobyl nuclear plant in 1986, but also because nuclear power presents a long term environmental pollution hazard. Only 41 days remain of the Hong Kong Government's public consultation period.
