Waste treatment plant Main (previously APS)
Doumbia Siaka visited Amsterdam (Netherlands) for several days together with his colleague Amado Bakayoko, starting September 5th. The Ivorian chauffeurs were hired in 2006 by Trafigura to dispose of toxic waste from the ship Probo Koala in the Ivorian capital of Abidjan. They were two of the nine truck drivers who dumped the waste in many different sites in and around the city. Doumbia and Amado went twice to the Amsterdam headquarters of Trafigura to demand apologies from the company for not disclosing the toxic nature of the waste that they were asked to dispose of. Both times they were told that the management of Trafigura could and would not hear their story. They also paid a visit to the waste treatment plant Main (previously APS) which obtained the toxic waste but were not allowed to process it. 

Doumbia Siaka bezocht vanaf 5 september samen met zijn collega Amado Bakayoko, voor een paar dagen Amsterdam. De Ivoriaanse chauffeurs werden in 2006 door Trafigura ingehuurd om het giftige afval van het schip Probo Koala in de Ivoriaanse hoofdstad Abidjan te dumpen. Samen met nog 7 andere vrachtwagen chauffeurs dumpten ze het afval op verschillende plekken in en om de stad. Doumbia en Amado zijn twee keer bij het Amsterdamse hoofdkantoor van Trafigura langsgeweest om het bedrijf te verzoeken verontschuldigingen aan te bieden, voor het feit dat ze niet hebben verteld om wat voor soort afval het ging. Beide keren werd hen verteld dat het management van Trafigura niet kon en niet wilde luisteren naar hun verhaal. Ook werd een bezoek gebracht aan het afvalverwerkingsbedrijf Main (voorheen APS) dat het giftige afval in handen had gehad maar zelf niet eens mocht verwerken.
