Burning Oil from Oil Rig Disaster
The Q4000 multi-purpose oil field intervention vessel, burns off material from the Deepwater Horizon wellhead near the disaster site. A support ship keeps a steady stream of water spraying on the pipe from the Q4000 as flames shoot out. The BP leased oil Deepwater Horizon platform exploded on April 20 and sank after burning.
