Georgia Hirsty
Georgia Hirsty who is a member of the crew on the Arctic Sunrise, assists sea ice scientists with an ice drill. After receiving training she helps drill hundreds of holes across the ice floes at 80 degrees north on the edge of the Arctic Ocean. It is through these holes that thickness measurements can be made, which tell us more about the state of the Arctic Sea ice.
