Keystone Pipeline XL Protest
Activists spoke out against the proposed Keystone XL Pipeline project that would carry crude oil from the Tar Sands of Alberta, Canada, to oil refineries on the Gulf Coast of the United States. The 1,700-mile pipeline would cross most of the major rivers of the United States and put at risk sensitive habitat, key farming areas, and the Oglala aquifer on which millions of people and a major portion of U.S. Agriculture depends for irrigation.
