A traditional Thai dessert is made in a 200 year old market at the Bangplee Yai Temple, on the upper reach of Samrong canal. Along the sides of most canals and the Chao Phraya river are places for social activities, religion and cultural such as temples, markets, hospitals and government offices. Samrong canal, Bangplee district, Samut prakan province. The canal is connecting to lower part of Chao Phraya river. The upper part of the canal is home for thousands families who uses the water for their livelihoods, such as fishery, aquaculture, agriculture, transportation, and daily domestic use as for cleaning and washing. The water quality deteriorates as it travels downstream as more density of factories.
