Protest Against Mattel in Helsinki
Greenpeace activists, dressed as Barbie and Sumatran tigers protest against Mattel outside a BR lelut in central of Helsinki with a banner which reads: “Barbaric”. The activity in Helsinki is part of a worldwide Greenpeace campaign to stop toy companies driving deforestation in Indonesia. Packaging for Mattel's "Barbie" doll, the most famous toy in the world, is produced using pulp from the rainforests of Indonesia, home to endangered species such as the Sumatran tiger.
