A 74-year-old former coal miner suffering from end stage black lung disease, lies in bed close to death. He is cared for by his wife and children. His black lung benefits were just taken away from him by the coal company where he worked in the cleaning plant for 22 years. It was said that the coal dust was so bad you couldn't see your hand in front of your face.
