Energy Edison Coal Bus Action Irvine
In a dramatic action to get Edison Mission Energy to pull out of proposed plans to build a coal-fired power plant in Thailand, Greenpeace parked a school bus transformed into a massive, smoking coal power plant in the middle of Edison's corporate campus. The activists conveyed their message "Edison: Don't Dump Coal in Thailand" on both sides of the manufactured spewing coal plant. Signs encouraged people to tune into Greenpeace radio 100.7, for more information about the issue. Pictured are Greenpeace activists David Taylor and Ashby Smith.
