Studies of Coral Health in Mexico
A member of the Greenpeace team and researchers from the University of Baja California Sur, begins documenting coral health on the Bank of Campeche. Greenpeace is supporting Mexican scientists in gathering data on coral health . These baseline data will be used in the future to help assess impacts of increases in sea surface temperature and the potential effects of ocean acidification on the coral. On the first day of diving in Cayo Arcas, the researcher Hector Reyes Bonilla made an evaluation of the coral communities found there.
