To celebrate World Water Day 2016 Greenpeace Mexico activists unfurled an 80 metre banner that reads "Water is a right, saving it is a must" at one of Mexico City's most iconic places: the ancient canals of Xochimilco. The organisation is calling on the Mexican government to create a new national water law that complies with the constitutional requirement to ensure access to water for all Mexicans as a basic human right.
