Anti-coal Network Protest at Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in Bangkok
Visitors sign a petition against the building of coal-fired power plants in the province of Krabi. More than 100 members of Save Andaman from Coal Network, an anti-coal powered plant group from southern Thailand, staged a protest outside the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in Bangkok to urge the Ministry to finalise the new declaration of Krabi as environmentally protected zone and to reject any coal-fired power plant project in the area. This official recognition expired more than three years ago. The activists invited people to place whale stickers on a large banner and sign a statement to support this cause.
