River Doce affected by the toxic mud in Bento Rodrigues, in the district of Mariana, Minas Gerais state. On November 5th, a dam containing mineral waste from Samarco, a Brazilian mining company controlled by Vale and British-Australian BHP, collapsed, affecting 663 Km of rivers and destroying 1.469 hectares of forest with toxic mud.
